marcusmiller-jazz-bass-img08 Swamp Ash

Premium swamp ash tone wood is usually found in higher priced instruments. Swamp ash tone wood is known to produce a well balanced tone. It is highly resonant and offers a nice balance of pleasant highs, firm lows, and a slightly scooped midrange which is great for slap playing. The characteristics of this wood enable players to emulate Marcus Miller’s tone a step further.

marcusmiller-jazz-bass-img09 North American Alder

A popular choice for most bass guitars is the North American Alder. Other basses at this price range commonly use Basswood or Agathis tone wood but Sire Guitars chooses the traditional North American Alder which is known for its strong clear full-bodied sound, with beefy mids and excellent lows that is perfect for the traditional jazz bass sound.

SOUND UPGRADE

Nut is one of the most important parts of the guitar that influences the performance, playability, and tone of the instrument. Depending on the quality of the material and elasticity, the nut can improve the sound or degrade the sound. Although bone nut is more costly and harder to work with, it is considered to deliver more balanced, clearer and smoother tone than plastic or eurite material.

I received this Bass from my Wife for my Birthday, which isn’t till July 1st, but the way these Basses are selling, I didn’t want to miss out. I am a Fender guy, with an American Standard Precision Bass, 1994 “75” reissue Jazz Bass, and few others. The V7 is a “Masterpiece” of an instrument, I don’t think there is a tone that you can’t get from this Bass, The construction is as good or better than my $1349 Precision Bass for a fraction of the price. I had a couple of questions, and the response from the Company was fast and clearly answered my questions. I have been spreading the word about this Bass, I can’t say enough good things about the V7. No matter if you are a novice player or a pro, You can’t go wrong with the V7…..Thank You Sire Guitar Co. & Marcus Miller……….a very happy customer…… Sincerely, Mikael Wilt

I’ve been practicing with this fine-tuned instrument for my admissions to Berklee College School of Music I have to do two supplemental materials for the board of admissions; at least I know that the instrument has the overall proficiency that a musician looks for when picking out a boutique bass (yes I said boutique).
That’s how all the bells and whistles that this instrument comes with makes you feel and importantly sound and high quality instrument and those D’Addario XL are top notch special thanks to (Mickey Cho Managing Director) remember you can’t pick a quality instrument based on price; but instead consider picking by the way it’s put together and how it feels to you and what kind of sound it produces.

Got this Bass for Xmas from my daughters even though I have 4 basses they over heard me talking on the phone with my brother one day telling that I didn’t have a jazz bass an that I was planning on getting one, well when I opened it up an played it I was like holy crap this must have cost a mint the sound was just as good as my high end basses if not better when they told me how much it cost I almost passed out what a bargain i’m getting the 5 string next.

I’ve had my V7 bass for over a year now and it has been my go to workhorse! I absolutely love this bass and it’s extremely good versatility. The bass can dial in almost any tone you would need, and feels awesome in my hands. Plus the white finish…Mmmm good!! Well done Sire!!!

    Hi,

I’ve noticed that there are 4 holes at the back of the body, initially, I thought it is strung “through the body” but when I checked the bridge, I saw the ball ends of the strings. So I’m wondering what are the holes for? Also, can I know the string height at the 17th fret?

Thank you so much and I’m looking forward on Sire being my next bass.

    Mark

    • Hey JavaMac! For the 4 string we usually set it up via top load well it is up to them player if he/she prefers a string through string installation. For the height, it really depends on how you setup your bass. You may need to take it your local luthier to have it done.
